K said last week that he wants to go somewhere before his surgery since he won't be able to walk too much for the 6-8 weeks he has an antibiotic spacer. We'd probably just go somewhere for a long weekend. I was trying to think of somewhere he would not have to walk too much. He has a lot of pain from the infection and walking a lot makes it much worse.
I would love to go somewhere I have never been. However, I keep coming up with ideas that are places I have been. I really think he would like Washington D.C. or Denver. I think DC would be too much walking though. I also thought about Vegas, but we're not that big into drinking and we have a casino here if we wanted to gamble. K has never been there though and I think we could find other things to do besides drink. I would also like to go to Seattle or Portland, but I'm not sure if they are good cities for his limited mobility. We may just end up going to Florida, which is perfectly fine with me. We could easily rent a car and spend time hanging out on the beach. Plus, the flights are usually pretty cheap.
